Hoping for 2 trips this year. And my Lac Seul trip got bounced so maybe fit in a third. Fingers crossed on EPs

Hope the system works better than last year… I haven’t attempted to login yet, trying to get my wife on board with the trip I have planned.

I was hitting refresh from 9am til 9:05 with growing anxiety but once it opened up it was smooth for me.

I grabbed 5 day motor permits for our annual June bunkhouse base camp deal, as well as 2 day motor permits for the last week of lake trout season.

I read that the Basswood day motor permits were gone before 930.

I couldn’t hit refresh fast enough and was starting to get nervous as well! I was also amazed at how fast the Basswood permits were gone. I know those are very valuable to a lot of the resorts and outfitters up there so I think they have all hands on deck to obtain them.

I wish they made it easier to get different dates and variations. It sends you right to the page where you have to enter all the personal information. Be nice if you only had to do that once.

Still, with the system in place, no outfitter or resort should be able to reserve a permit without a specific customer attached to it. Group leader’s name can’t change once the permit is reserved. So I don’t know how they game the system?
