I stopped by the Rochester GM on the way home yesterday & picked up a few items. Previous to this purchase I had purchased two of their private label reels & upon getting home one of the boxes was missing parts. That was successfully exchanged later the same day. At the same time that I was exchanging the reel a guy was returning a Terova sold as new that obvious to the purchaser was a faulty returned item. I do not know the outcome of that deal but today was another story. The one problem item was a Flambeau 3700 series speed bag. Included with the bag is 2 flambeau boxes. After getting home I opened the bag & one of the boxes had the bottom broken in 2 locations. Returned to GM this morning & was told no returns or exchanges. The manager explained the merchandise did not belong to them & I was out of luck. Not a big loss to me but that was customer service at it’s finest. GM & it’s new owners have now lost a customer for life. IF you should chose to risk a purchase at a GM in the near future it would be very wise to completely inspect the item prior to check out. They have many signs out saying please do not open cartons……..I wonder why ???
