This weekend Joe and I seasoned the new Blackstone Griddle, a wonderful and generous gift I got from Sheldon ( @iowaboy1) and Sheryl ( @sthompson67 ) and we cooked some delicious burgers and potatoes for dinner! By “we” I technically mean Joe did most of the cooking! 😂 But I was paying attention and learning how to use it and how to cook burgers and potatoes. I haven’t cooked much on a grill or a griddle so I’ve got some learning to do. We are excited to cook more on this thing and fill the neighborhood with amazing smells!

Thanks again Sheldon and Sheryl! You guys rock! woot

Nice, I’m anxiously awaiting my gas grill dying so I can switch to a blackstone. What is the side car on there next to the flat top Sharon?

It’s a single burner, and this Blackstone came with a deep fryer, which we just set on the shelf below for now, but look forward to tossing some tots and taters in there!

You are very welcome Sharon. They are a great accessory for grilling and multi tasking lol

    I’m doing the same.

For those who have the blackstone, where do you keep it? Are they fine on a deck/porch/slab in the elements Spring-Fall with a good cover, or is it something you wheel inside after each use?

Mine is in my third stall for now. I don’t have a model with a cover so I want it out of the weather. After using it, I clean it hot and wipe it down with a coat of veg oil when it cools a bit. Then I cover it with an old blanket to keep the dust off it.

When we build our new deck (if we EVER build our new deck) I want to build an outdoor cooking station for the Blackstone, Gas Grill and Smoker. At that point I’ll buy an aftermarket cover.

Mine’s in the garage, and plan to wheel it out when in use. I have a large garage so space isn’t an issue.

So glad you like it Sharon !!
I had to nudge a little birdie to find out if you had a chance to use it as I hadnt seen anything about it yet.
Then I find out a bunch of you guys had gotten ill recently and you didnt have a chance until you got better.
Glad everyone is on the mend and doing well !!

Thanks Sheldon! It was definitely no fun to be sick and it took us longer to recover than we expected. But we’re doing well now! waytogo

Ok Sharon, I have been on the fence about getting one and this probably convinced me.
