    Looking to build a bale blind for next fall just wondering if any one has done one before and how it goes

    No but I saw this on here last week I think it was.
    I like the idea but see a few things I’d have to do different.

    Interesting, might help you…if you went to look at it.

    Straw only lasts 2 years max which I thought was a little weird.

    I built one last fall. I’ll have to dig up the post/kit/info I shared at the time. Haven’t hunted out of it yet but can’t wait to give it a shot.

    Thanks thinking of going more the homemade way with some hog panels and angle iron for the base

    It wouldn’t be hard to do if you have access to a chop saw and a welder. Now that I’ve built this one out, I will be doing custom going forward also. The challenge will be coming up with the straw matt. Which you can order replacements through this same site.

    I plan to sit mine on the edge of a CRP field. I’m actually going to build a small platform for it to sit on. Just so I can be slightly above the tall CRP grass. I’m thinking 18 – 24 inches off the ground.
