Do you guys use these? I have used a few different Buddy heaters but never seen or thought I needed a fuel filter on it?

If you use the low pressure quick connect hose you do not need a filter.

If you are connecting to an alternative 5 or 20lb tank instead of using the 1lb propane tanks I highly recommend it…or you it will intermittently stop working from my experience.

Mine had come with one when I got it but after a while I couldn’t get it to lite. Took it off and no problem. I only use a separate tank so I don’t know why I had problems with mine?

Mine won’t work with the filter attached. Used 10 and 20 lb tanks for years with out a filter and no issues. Many will say they’re unnecessary.

I use the filter on my Big Buddy hooked to a 5 pounder. Propane flows fine, no issues.

The filter is for the hose, not really for the fuel. The lining on the inside of the hose may shed off from use. The filter is to catch that.

This is the hose with the regulator on it correct?

Confirmed via a couple youtube vids. In case you were confused like me – there are apparently 2 hose types. High and low pressure. The low pressure hose has the regulator, high pressure hose no regulator. You should only use the filter on the high pressure hose.

    Just like I said. ;-)
The low pressure hose (with regulator) is the only one that has the quick connect coupler on it.
