Bucket rod holder ideas

I got the run – n -gun down pretty good except for a rod holder. I throw 6 rods in a 5 gallon bucket and when I get to the spot, dang nab it! I spend 10 minutes untangleing lines.
Any ideas on how to convert a 5 gallon bucket to a rod holder?

    TIA

Use some pvc pipe for the rod butts and sew some rod socks

Get a bucket that has a lid and then drill some holes in the lid large enough for the rod tip to poke through. Stick the rods in the bucket and then put the lid on while feeding each rod tip through a hole in the lid until you can get the lid to snap onto the bucket. This should keep them separated and tangle free.

PVC glued to bottom for the butts like mentioned and like a 6″ piece of pipe insulation with a slit for the top.

That or just take one rod. rotflol

How about a couple bungee cords…assuming they’re cheap rods.

If they’re expensive, consider just bringing 2?

Runnin and gunnin with 6 rods? I love it.

How about pvc tubes on the outside of the bucket…..I’m thinking riveted. Inside of the bucket still available for other stuff.

i use a milk crate. one rode holder in each corner made of 1.25 PVC with slot for reel. 1 inch pvc for tool holder. tackle box fits in the bottom. rods are on the inside pointing up. why put rods on the outside of the bucket to get all beat up. worked awesome for Winnipeg built a holder for the ATV and the snowmobile. easy on easy off. solid and functional.

I use rods tubes I make from the sleeves sold to protect florescent light bulbs. My rods are all currently put away but here is a photo of an empty sleeve.

I used PVC. Router out a 1” slot for the handle and a smaller slot for the line. You/we could make a strip of them to go on the side of your SXS and hold them on with a clamp. I have helped a buddy rivet them to a bucket. Put some Velcro on the top to make sure they don’t move around when you are bajaing across the ice. I am sure we could make it so you can carry more than 6.
