Buck Knives

    Has anyone looked at the new releases from Buck for 2021? Seems they switched from Buck heat treated 420HC steel to 7CR steel. At least for some of the new 2021 models. Wondering if anyone knows why? Covid related material issues or the almighty dollar? I have always liked Bucks 420HC on my EDC knives. I can’t say the same for 7CR blades.

    I read an article about knife steels on the Gear Junkie website last summer, their take was:

    Steels 7Cr and below aren’t worth your time or money. They lack the carbon necessary to hold an edge, even during mild use.
