Bucher fluoro leaders -surgeons knot

I had a bucher fluoro leader a while back, and then recently saw a youtube vid on using a surgeons knot for 100ld fluoro leaders. My simple mind clicked….thats the knot on those bucher leaders. Anyone tried it with say 130ld fluoro? I use a lot of single strand and also make up fluoro with a borrowed nail knot tool, but like the idea of a knot a guy could tie in the boat without the knot tool. I’ve tried tying other ‘hand’ knots with 130 and usually end up wasting line.
