12-26-07 was one of the best ice crappie bites I have ever seen at Brushy. It went in spurts through out the morning, but for an hour and a half I sat right on top of the school and just hammered them. A rainbow trout colored 1/8 oz buckshot rattlespoon with no bait was all I used. Ended up getting 61 crappies and five gills. Probably could have got more gills but the only ones I caught were agressive enough to eat that 1/8 oz spoon. crappies were all 9 to 11.5 with a 12″ thrown in every once in awhile. There is a good 6-8″ of ice on the North end.
