Days in Iowa don’t get much better than Sunday. Sunny not very windy and the fish were cooperative. Not a lot ob big bass, but a good mix of sizes came to the boat. The bass are a lot smarter than they were a couple years ago, but they were still pretty easy to catch if they didn’t see you first. Any idiot could catch 100 bluegills if they were so inclined. The gills are schooled up and probably thinking about spawning. Lots of good sizes of gills too. We even ran across some good sized crappies, but we didn’t target any panfish. It was a great day to be on the water and the DNR should be congratulated for getting things just right at Brushy.
