Nothing like a trip to Brushy to humble a guy. In spite of a bad set of reports, I just had to try it Saturday. I know the fish are there, I should be able to catch something was my thought. NOT. Not a thing in 9 hours. My slip bobber did dip under once, but it was probably hung on a tree limb. Surface temp was 53. Never saw a crappie caught all day, never saw one cruising the shallows, didn’t mark many suspended in the mouths to the bays, didn’t stick around for the evening walleye bite. Did see one walleye caught over the rockpiles south of the north ramp. I’m officially humbled until next weekend.
