    BRP to sell marine businesses

“After careful consideration and given the current dynamics of both the marine and powersports industries, we have decided to double down on our core powersports activities and to sell our marine businesses,” says José Boisjoli, president and CEO of BRP. “Over the past few years, we have built a solid foundation by investing in the development of innovative marine products and upgrading the production facilities. As such, we believe that these iconic brands can offer attractive value creation opportunities for a new owner.”

BRP’s objective is to solidify its position as a leading global powersports OEM. The company is confident that this decision will enable it to capitalize on growth opportunities within the powersports industry and improve its margin profile, enhancing its position for long-term success.

Not good if one of the giant conglomerates buy them up . Competition is usually good to the consumer. Brunswick buys up alumacraft good by Yamahas on them.

It wouldn’t surprise me if good ole Johnny Morris buys them unfortunately… I don’t think that would be a good thing at all…

Sea doo or ski doo? Obviously skidoo isn’t marine related.

They all ready have a line of boats but you never can say never.

Agreed but Alumacraft is a lot bigger, more known and popular. I honestly dont know the quality of G3 boats having never been in one but knowing they are owned by Yamaha would make me consider looking at them if I was in the market for anew boat and a dealer was near by

G3 was started by former alumacraft employees.
