Brookies, Bows, and Cutbows for dinner

Was up near 10K this past weekend, searching for some Brook Trout for dinner through the ice! Took a short hike and found an active bite in the 3′ – 6′ range. Ice was nice, with 10″ of solid ice and only about a foot of snow on top of that with no slush.

The Brookies were active, and so were the Rainbows and Cutbows! We limited out pretty quick and fished some more just for fun. Roadside minnows nano fry and Dynamic Lures Micro Attack swimbaits caught all the fish this day…

The sun was shining, the temps were great (low 30’s), we had the lake mostly to ourselves, and there was little to no wind. Love those comfortable days on the ice when the bite is active! Dinner came out great too

Hope you guys enjoy the pictures…If you’re interested, video link below as well

Great pictures and Video as always. All those fish are beautiful but the Brook Trout are most beautiful. I use to do a fair amount of stream trout fishing in our SE Minnesota area. Its been too many years since I’ve made the drive in the spring to fish them. I mat have to change that this next spring.

No worries about the video haha! Just happy you enjoyed the post. The scenery is always one of the best parts of ice fishing out here in CO!

Appreciate that a lot! Glad to hear you enjoy the post and video. Brook Trout are one of my GF’s favorite looking fish, easy to get her out on the ice if I say we’re targeting that lol. Hope you do and hope you get into a bunch of them🎣
