Broken TUCR

I ordered a precision from scheels last week before my trip up north. It was my first custom so I was fired up to use it. Put it in the case the first night and came back the next morning and I had closed the case on the tip and broke it. I know TUCR has a no questions asked repair for $50. If any of you have done this, what was the turnaround time? Is there a cheaper and/or faster option?
    Thanks

Sorry dude, but well…after paying that much $$ for an ice rod, or any fishing rod you should have been treating that like an infant baby human.

So to answer your question, no…I have never done that.

That’s true. I’ve never been more annoyed with myself about breaking anything before.

You did not answer his question!
    You are of no help!!

Faster option would be to glue a new tip guide on if you didn’t lose too much of your rod.

Yes Dan, you are right… I am of no help. Worthless is what I would say. I regret now even commenting on this thread.

Take it over Dan, you have offered a solution… applause

Andy I do respect you and typically the information you offer. Two things, not sure that your response is up to your normal standards and two, not really a fan of your new avatar with the walleye and it’s eyes bulging out of its head. Not something I would really celebrate and doesn’t seem like you. Just being honest.

What rod was it that broke? We might have a few in stock, which would dramatically shorten your wait time. Otherwise, the build times are 3-4 weeks right now.

It was a 36 inch precision. I can call on Monday and check on that.
    Thanks Dan

First of all, apology to the OP for this off topic distraction and my less than helpful comments previous.
Lindy, thanks for mentioning my rudeness. Sometimes people who are going through some personal disappointment allow some of their feelings to translate through a keyboard and into other non related things. There is no reason or excuse for that but it can be human nature I suppose.
Regardless, I do apologize and appreciate your honesty. I learned from this. !

I have done that same thing but luckily it was a st croix rod. So it wasnt that much money out the window. But I still was pretty upset. Happened out side while packing up under a dying headlamp. So I feel your pain.
