broken seat base, what's this called?

    My boat has the seat posts you just slide in and out, no tabs, and there is a groove on one side. The top plastic cap of one of them broke and it looks like it’s separate from the rest of the base and I could replace just that. Anybody know if that’s the case and what the part is called? There are pictures attached of what the look like and what is broken.

    Looks like a Springfield seat base and I don’t believe that part can just be replaced. I had to put a new seat base in earlier this, wasn’t too bad, $47 from my boat dealer, probably could have found it cheaper online but my dealer needs to make a living too and he installed it.

    I believe atwood makes them also.I have seen the atwoods in alot of chain stores.When i say chain stores i mean W-Mart,FF.

    If it’s a alumacraft I would say the it’s a springfield. maybe contact them direct.

    I needed the same thing on my Skeeter and couldn’t buy it separately. Had to replace the whole base.

    Thanks everybody. Guess I won’t use that spot for about 5 years until I get around to it lol
