Hey guys, has anyone ever had this happen to their reel (see attached video)? The bail is open, I can still reel it and it makes that clicking noise. Back story below if needed.
Backstory: Frog fishing for bass in pretty thick lily pads and hooked one that got all tangled. My boat was anchored so we had to pull the anchor up so I kept the line tight but opened the bail so we could move backwards to pull the anchor up and move in to retrieve the fish/frog. Well when we started moving forward I was keeping pressure on the bail and then when I tried to close it made a funny noise and this happened.
