Up on red and the hub is bent on my polar bird. I’m still able to fish out of it so the trip isn’t a wash. I really like this house and would prefer to keep it and fix it but this company isn’t around anymore. Wondering if you guys think a clam replacement hub would work?

Shouldn’t you be fishing and not spending time on IDO? Storm might shut down the lake.

Kind of a bummer they arent around anymore because they had some innovative ideas with the insulated floor, etc. I would think a hub from any of the other companies would work as long as its the same size because otherwise the poles my be too long or too short.

The insert section where the pole goes in on the one side is bent too. I’m gonna use it as long as I can but I assume at some point it won’t function any longer. When I get home I may take it apart and see if the part itself is salvageable

I have a Polar Bird 4T that is brand new, never been used although I did set it up in the basement after I bought it.
It’s a few years old but like I said, it’s never been been used so it’s still like new.
Thanks for the reminder as I forgot I even had it.
If you’re not interested, I’ll post it in the classifieds.December 13, 2022 at 10:43 am #2165951If you’re not interested, I’ll post it in the classifieds
I might be. Thanks

I replaced that piece on my older Eskimo hub shack. Not sure how similar it would be to yours but it might be another option for you to check out. If I recall, I think that was around 15.00 ordered from Eskimo. I also had a couple poles that needed replacement too. I believe the new poles were about 5 – 6 bucks each.
December 13, 2022 at 1:03 pm #2166012Your brave. I see most the resorts shut down due to the storm. 50 plus mph gusts of wind in the forecast. Better hold on. This is the storms I try to walk away from. Seen to much bad stuff happen with big winds and portables. But as long as they are biting and the hubs secure I hope you hammer those fish

So far so good. It’s windy but no snow yet. Not supposed to get bad until around 8 tonight. By then we will be at the bar making different kinds of bad decisions
