I dropped my Flame King 1# tank, hard, on the cement. Now it has a small leak at the base. It is full. It is no longer useable. Now what? Anyone ever transferred propane from a 1# to another 1# ? I just filled all my 1# tanks, but would buy another. How do I dispose of the tank? Thanks

Love the tanks ,btw, has paid for itself, totally my fault. Can’t blame the tank.

Leave it outside and let it leak till its empty they recycle it.

If it’s leaking, how is it also full? Just put it outside and wait for it to empty itself. Or put a stove on it and open the valve to expedite the process. Not worth the hassle to save 1 lb of propane. Once it’s empty, **completely empty**, toss it in the trash or scrap metal.

Take it outside and push the valve down with a small screwdriver or allen wrench (wear gloves and eye protection). You can purge it fast that way.

Take it outside and open the vent with the provided allen wrench. It will empty itself in a couple minutes, give it a day if you like. Leave the vent wide open and put the empty tank in the trash.

More like Boom King… Oh, it was full, just filled it. The set screw valve is really a nice feature. It was a perfect drop…right on the bottom ridge, created a very slight drizzle-of-a-leak. You guys are right…not worth messing with for a 1# amount of propane. I will leave it outside in the sun before it goes to recycle. I really like these refillable tanks. This was another ice fishing expense…I slipped and fell hard (wearing yaktracks too)…hurt my hand and wrist a week ago…bad grip. Dropped the tank like a ton. Coulda been worse. Thanks all
