okay.. I bought a “new’ lakemaster Chip.. for my first gen 5 hds..this is for river use.. I can easily see the wing dams.. however.. the depth lines are extremely faint.. very faint.. how do I adjust this.. ? any Any. ANY TIPS would be appreciated. as what I know about this and installing this you can put in a thimble and have a ton of room..
What year is the chip? If I remember right, the hds units need one of the last year or two chips that lakemaster made that worked in the lowrance hds units. Somebody in the lowrance forum might know the year. How close are you zoomed in? I have noticed that the more you are zoomed in, the brighter the contour lines become.
The simplest thing to try would be to adjust your display brightness. If you haven’t tried that or have that cranked all the way up give it a shot.
Otherwise I am not aware of any other way to adjust the contour lines themselves.
