Breakfast Brat?

I will be finishing up the rest of our venison this weekend and will be doing a batch of maple breakfast brats. Anyone ever add blueberries in them? I am thinking of giving it a shot or I might just add apple and cinnamon

So far this year I have made kielbasa, a few batches of summer sausage, wild rice/cheddar brats, slab jerky and Philly cheese brats. This weekend we plan to do buffalo blue cheese, honey mustard garlic, chili cheese, jalapeƱo cheddar, another batch of Philly, hot dogs and a few mixes of summer sausage. I bought everything this year form PS seasonings except my summer sausage and hotdogs which is a homemade seasoning.
Everything so far has been great seasoning with excellent flavor. I will post and update if anyone of them do not work out but I would recommend trying some of these.

    Your handi-work looks delicious.

How is the Kielbasa? I have ten full pork butts to use and have both brat and breakfast sausages on the plan but want to do some kielbasa or Polish and haven’t quite decided yet.

The kielbasa was excellent. I had a couple of them get in a hot spot of the smoker and had a little excess fat liquefy but flavor was worth it. I used un-edible casing and also wish I would have used beef but every year is a learning experience.

I am a huge ring bologna fan and regret not making a bunch this year instead of buying so many brat seasonings. This is the seasoning I used below.

There’s a meat shop up north that we went out of the way for blueberry wild rice brats. They are the bomb. Your other stuff looks awesome.

Those sound good too! I have had maple apple cinnamon and like them I am hoping blueberry maple will be just like a pancake.

I buy the blueberry maple Ring Bologna at the butcher and it’s awesome.
I’d assume it would be good in brats as well.

My neighbors and I put all of our deer into the pot and split it. We also go on an elk hunt as a group and split the meat. Couldn’t ask for better neighbors!

It was a rough year on my equipment though..My vaccum sealer quit suctioning, The bushing on my stuffer wore out and luckily we found one to borrow and to top it off we had to mix the last 3 batches by hand after my mixer handle stripped out.
