Gull lake Memorial weekend

Spent the weekend on Gull with hopes of finding some good crappie and/or waalleye action. Well the crappies were hit and miss for us, but the eyes showed up big time. Friday night started off great with 8 fish in the box and about a dozen that we let go. There were also alot of rock bass mixed in. All of the action came in 5-9 f.o.w. on bent lip #7s. They seemed to bite best at dusk and then a lull til the moon would come up.
Next day we found pike and eyes holding in similar areas just a little deeper that were willing to crush crankbaits.
The nite bite was a little slower Saturday and Sunday evening, but still good action and a few more for the grease.
We never did get into the crappie, but thats fishin.
Anyone else fishin Gull lately?

I was there as well, the crappies were biting on the south end but like you said it was hit or miss.
Bass fishing was OK for me and my son on Sunday, more about that in a report I will post sometime tonight.
