Kind of a topsy turvy last two weeks. Lots of wind here but the crappies are biting well. Most anglers stopping in at the bait shop have been please with the results. Water temps are in the mid to upper 50s on the main lakes. We are hammering the crappies on nice days with reports of 10-150 fish per day. Most fish have been in the cabbage beds 6-8 feet of water. Puddle jumpers, ratsos, or gulp alive minnows have been working well. We’ll see what the weekend brings for walleyes but we are optimistic. Some good bets would be Gull, Mille Lacs, or Leech. Bait is plentiful, so no problems there. Good luck and we’ll see you this weekend.
