The fishing hasn’t been too bad, but the wind has been terrible. Today we finally caught a break. I think we had 5 straight days of 20 mph wind. The anglers that have battled it have been awarded with some nice catches. The walleyes have been going good on Gull, Pelican, Upper Hay, and Edwards. Jigs tipped with shiners, rainbows, or creek chubs are working well. Plus quite a few guys have been using a Lindy Rig or a Gum Drop Floater tipped with a shiner. Most walleyes have been hanging along the shallow weed edges in 8-14 feet of water. The crappie fishing continues to be very good on most of our lakes. The best baits have been Northland Fire-Fly jigs and small crappie minnows or a puddle jumper on a small jighead. The bluegills have been going nuts in the shallows and are gobbling up the small leeches or wax worms. Good luck this week heading into the big Memorial weekend!

Thanks Jason. I’m sure we will see you sunday for some crappie action.
