as we headed home Sunday afternoon we took a spin around the lower south long lake end, our first stop was checking out Paradise Point, we just drove on the lake and saw no one to talk to so we just took a pix of the trail out there and the few houses out there that werent there Saturday, the snow is a little deep but trucks are getting through it
next we headed around the road to the tip of lower south, there we found 50+ houses there and a packed trail to travel on;
There we met Jason Bruzinka from Rice Mn with some of the family, he said there were some sunnies being caught that were in the (nice range) and last week there were about a 100 houses in the same area– water depth is usually 8 ft or more there, he had the camera down and was watching a gator sneaking around but very fussy;
Jason admitted hes got alot of holes punched for several reasons,,; hes got Triplets running around behind him and a boy, (guess he wasnt fishing all the time) also he said he finnally got his fishouse done and wanted to finally get it on ice;;
as we talked the tipup flag jumped up, nothing, Darn wind he stated– and continued on about being up to LOW last weekend out of Steves Sweet Sleepers- they fished around Pine Island in 16 ft durning the mornings and 30 ft at night, they caught over 75 fish between 3 guys in 21/2 days, with a 23 and 18 inch eye as the biggest, most were 14 inch, they had no trouble getting there limits for home;
hope the pixs we took come through
