Pelican Lake for Opener

I fished pelican lake for bass opener and man what a blast. We had solid action all day pulling in well over 50 bass a piece a day. Fished saturday and sunday, but sunday was by far the funest. On saturday afternoon while fishing for largemouths, I caught a 14.5″ black crappie. Man was she pretty. She was really black and weighed in at a little over 1lb. Then on sunday, while fishing for largemouths again, I caught a glimps of a fish swim by the boat I wasn’t sure what it was but thought that it could have been a walleye, and it was huge. After about 4 casts of my bass tube to where the beast was going I thought that it was gone. One more cast on the same direction and wham, my tube got smoked! The fight to get it out of the lilly pads was scary, but I managed to get it out. It ended up measuring 27″ and weighing in at 5lbs. It was a pretty good bonus fish. All in all this trip rocked.

Nice report Hollywood! How was the size on the bass you were getting?

Well,
They were 2.5 to 3.5 lbs
We fished two tournys up there on sat and sun.
The individual tourny for biggest bass was won with a bass at 3lbs 8 oz
We won the team tourny with 5 bass weighing in at 14lbs+
All in all an awsome time
