I work with the brother of the Hibbing kid that laid the F bomb on occasion when up on the range. What makes it even funnier is they are a very religious family and highly unexpected coming out of one of their mouths! Especially on tv.

I can’t believe Andover beat Rock Ridge. Andover was 12 and 13 going into the section tourney but finished the season strong.

Brackets are posted. Is this the season that the Spuds finally get it done?

Going to be some great first round matchups outside of the 1 vs 8 seed.
The rest all have a chance to win it all. Especially the top six seeds.

Everyone is 0 and 0 now. Records can get tossed out the window.

I was raised by a basketball coach. Went to the Northern Lakes Lightning (Pequot Lakes, Crosby, Aitkin) game against Alex to go to state in StCloud. Can’t believe how exciting and fun it was. My first game of the year and we won. I guess Coach Randolph is a legend.

I think the craziest stat is they started the season 0-9

Wonder if attendance is going to take a hit today in St Paul. At least for the afternoon session it certainly might.

This should be a pretty good tourney. Too bad its mostly urban teams, but its always good hockey. I’ll Take Northern Lakes in A and Moorhead in AA. Let the Games Begin!!!

Hoping Moorhead can finally break the ice with chip win this year. Can’t wait tomorrow all day ,Turkey dinner at McGoverns always one of my favorites days of the year. Friday will be fun time but Thursday is just can’t miss time hockey and friends that we all have a reunion this time of year.

Devils lake trip gets in the way of Saturday chip night but my godson will have my tickets.

Even better bonus Hill will not have the back room at McGoverns full always a plus or at the X. LOL

About 6-10 of us get together every year on Thursday for lunch, cocktails and some good hockey games. They’ve been doing this since 1983, that’s crazy!

Class A is predominantly outstate and AA metro, which is generally the case based off section setups. I got an outstate revival in my picks, Hibbing over the Cathedral Cakeaters in A, and Moorhead topping Stillwater in AA. I’ll be watching all weekend from a sleeper house on LOTW and cannot wait!

We live in Rogers, so of course I’ll be pulling for Rogers on their first trip to the state tournament. They’ve been so close to making it the last 3 years.

Against my better judgement I let the kid and his friends drive to St Paul today after school was cancelled – he has permission to skip school for all three days anyway as his grades are great and he pitched a plan to us to ensure he keeps up, but the weather we were second guessing it. They made it though and they’re having a great time. He’s making some great memories watching his favorite sport. Such a cool and unique thing we have in MN with the state tourney!

Where did you buy them and how much did you pay, if you don’t mind me asking?

Class AA tickets are tough nut to crack. The waiting list for season tickets is like 6-10 years.

I have never had a problem finding AA tickets either through friends and family, scalping or online.

Didn’t realize Hibbing was that good this season. Their record is very deceiving.

They knocked off Cloquet and Hermantown in the sections so they must be legit.

Record means nothing. Who you play means more. There was a reason they were 3 seed in sections and 1 at state.

For the most part, it was your average quarter-final. A couple blow-outs and the rest was fun but not super tight. I’m hoping AA is a little more competitive today.

How you play in the big moment means the most. Your record and schedule is irrelevant in March. What matters is how you learned and grew from the previous ~28 games. Almost every year there’s a really good team that loses in the first round because they choked under pressure.
