Posts: 537January 9, 2025 at 5:33 pm #2309725Sounds good. Not trying to talk you into anything, but if that’s the only reason it doesn’t look like that’s the case on Bowstring anyway. There’s a layer of crusty snow by the looks of it. I have cleats anyway if not.

Posts: 537February 19, 2025 at 7:51 pm #2318747Haven’t been out Glenn but would reckon that some of the ice reports we’ve been seeing probably aren’t too far off. 30”+ is likely. I did put my extension on, but haven’t been able to get up for a few weeks. Might be March before that happens too. Wouldn’t mind chasing some perch and panfish since should be ice well into April this year.
February 28, 2025 at 1:08 pm #2320670Eric……have you been up lately??? i’m heading up next friday….a week from today for more then likely last ice fishing trip.
with this warm spell more concerned about getting on the lake then ice out further?
and with this wind today…..hopin i dont need to chainsaw my way back to the cabin!!!

Posts: 537February 28, 2025 at 4:33 pm #2320735I haven’t yet and it’s looking like we’ll be up at the same time. Should be fine, but good idea to have the saw handy. Let me know if you need any help getting in and let’s do a little fishing if it works out.

Posts: 1063March 6, 2025 at 8:53 pm #2322181Glenn please post up an ice and shoreline report once you’re up there. I’d like to get up to the cabin by Winnie next weekend or the following for another trip. Hoping I can take the truck out and leave the wheeler at home. Not fishing on winnie.
I live south of there and we lost most snow but shorelines and ice is still fine.
