I have been carving quite a bit this summer but mostly birds the last couple months.. Back on the fish now. This is an odd one. Let me know what you guys think. I still have work to do but getting close to done. The eye spot on the tail will get some yellow around it. Have to sand out the belly line and drop a couple eyes in her. 34 inches long.

I WANT IT! Seriously, let me know if you want to sell it…

I understand a work of art like that costs a pretty penny and I only have an ugly penny…but a guy can dream, cant he? jester

I am making this one for a gal that I work with.. Her family does a dog fish tournament in September and she asked me to carve one quick.. I think they plan to leave it pinned to a tree outside.. Trying to talk her into making the trophy out of it. I can make a really nice stand for it and would be a one of a kind trophy )

This is the finish. Just needs a cool base but the fish is good to go.
