bow mount angle

Picked up a bow mount for the boat, and seeing my front has a small pitch to it. So when the motor gets mounted it will have a small, but noticeable angle in the water.

Does this matter? Don’t feel like making a custom board to make it even, but if its needed I’ll have to get er done.

Go to the hardware store and get rubber washers for shims. Use between the boat & motor.

Without seeing exactly what you have it is hard to say for sure.

I will say that when you consider how much a boat bow moves up and down, rolls and such on the water what you perceive to be an issue may actually be null. I have a tiller boat, when I fish solo in the rear my bow is much higher/steeper than when I have 2 more sitting up in the bow keeping it lower and this does not affect its performance at all.

I have the exact same thing on my boat. Simple fix with some rubber washers waytogo

Rubber washers are generally the best way to go. I have had to do that a lot of times on boats with the same issue, and it works great. I don’t know what trolling motor you are putting on but lots of minn kota’s come with them.

Being a 14′ I’m thinking should get it on the water and see how the nose takes to it. Already have a group 31 in the bow, add the motor and myself and it might be as Mark said a non-issue. Its a darned heavy 50# 12v maxuum.

Shim even horizontally, but wait on the vertical for now.

Thanks for the advice guys toast
