Happy national bourbon day!
Looks like kitty may have a drinking problem. Finished off my Larceny last night.
While on vacation I spied a bottle of Kurvball, the original BBQ flavored whiskey. Had to try a shot.
Next thing I know I bought a $25. bottle from the Woodshed and had two shots to see if it was just a little taste that I liked or if it was actually good drinking.
At about 68 proof, a person needs to be careful as it goes down with ease!
Does any one know where you can find Eagle Rare in Minnesota?
No, my local store used to have it regularly and now I can’t find it.
I found it on allocatedliquor.com. I searched the Buffalo Trace website, but they dont list where it can be purchased which is unfortunate.
I finished this bottle of Rock Hill Farms last night to celebrate Bourbon Day.
Wonderful stuff…single barrel and same mashbill as Blanton’s, but slightly higher proof and aged in a different warehouse for a more lively taste.
Grab it if you can find it!

Check out the Total Wines website. They have it at a number of stores.

BK I just looked and it says out of stock and only saw the 1.75 also. What am I doing wrong?

It lasts about 4 hours anytime a store gets some in. Very tough to find for the last year or so.
go to the super small stores. If its not on the shelf just give them an ask if they ever see it. 2-4/10 they’ll give you some insight and maybe hold you a bottle next time they get it.

Giddy up!You dirty pout!
Looks like I might have to swing through next time I’m driving by Rosie. FYI Buffalo Trace is around, I have scored a couple bottles in the last week.
I can usually get Buffalo Trace at my local shop. Just have to ask for it because it’s not on the shelf.
Still drives me insane that Buffalo Trace is now being treated like it’s Blantons or something better…..

FW said it’s in mine too! Need to get home and lock it up before the FD gets there first.
My wife found this somewhere and put it on my nightstand. I almost hit it right away this morning but I showed great restraint waiting until 5 pm. Blood Oath Pact #3 port barrel finished bourbon, just amazing. I think I have another one tucked away, fingers crossed.
Correction: Cabernet Sauvignon aged barrel. I the the Pact 2 is port barrel aged.

BHM,
I need to see your liquor cabinet
That sounds really good Boats. I love port so that could be a really interesting flavor note in bourbon.
Basil Hayden has a rye finished with Port I believe. I had a bottle a while back. As I recall it was pretty good.
Think I’ve found the difference in American vs scotch, and over there they line there barrels w dog $hit.
Can’t seem to find the taste for it.
Agreed on the Scotch…I just can’t find any I fully like.
I’ve got a buddy currently on an 8 day vacation/bender to tons of the big time bourbon joints in the Southern US. I told him to bring me back a few hundred worth of “treats”…the rarer the better.
