I am not a motorcycle guru, nor do I claim to be. But that is a really sharp looking ride.
May 26, 2019 at 10:58 am #1858930Doing bars or anything right off the bat?
I did full V&H exhaust right away and am going to ride it for a while before I decide on bars

His wife went out while he was playing with the boat without her and bought a new car….one that cost about 3X what the boat cost. I’m waiting to hear the rest of the story. lol
Don’t fall off that thing and get wrecked.

Ha ha I’m not sure what she has planned. I never told her i was going to buy it. I just said I had some stuff to do for the day. When I pulled back in she was super excited. Something about needing to get some cute riding clothes and new sun glasses.
May 26, 2019 at 1:32 pm #1858943My neighbor bout himself a Groundsmaster mower, a very nice unit.
His wife bought herself implants, some very nice units.
He was allowed to keep his mower in the settlement.

I have 3 buddies who all went down the route of buying their wives a new set, now they all regret paying for something another man gets to enjoy

Hahaha. We told him what was going to happen and he said “Oh no, not her, she’s not like that”

I’ve had 4 Harley’s, a Yamaha & a Suzuki ….. barely lived to tell about it. 2nd Harley was a road king that went off road (king) into a cornfield, in the fog at a t-intersection.
3rd Harley went airborne and was totaled ($22k) …..I got two black eyes and a headache. Not bad for wearing a leather vest and leather do-rag when things got all #%*¥£€!!
I can’t physically ride anymore and that is probably a good thing.

I have grown up on bikes my entire life. Starting on a mini bike when I was 4. Finally graduated to this girl. My last street glide was awesome and will be missed but this one is my new toy for the summer.
Luckily enough I only been in one wreck since road legal and it was not good by any means but not terrible.
I’ve watched many family members ruin bikes, just have to ride smart. Just because a bike can fly doesn’t mean it always has to. I see many people who have very little experience get big bikes and that’s spooky.PolakPosts: 78Tom SawvellInactivePosts: 9559May 27, 2019 at 9:29 am #1859006I got creamed on a mid-sized smaller motorcycle when I was in 9th grade….hand signaled a left turn and the old fart behind me passed me as I went into my turn. He got the ticket
, I walked away with scrapes. End of my motorcycle adventure. I’ve told Ma several times that if I ever win the lottery I’d buy a nice Harley to take out on good, paved secondary roads for leisurely early evening cruises just to feel the wind on my head [no hair anymore]. I see guys hauling arse on the interstates and shake my head. Then I see the same on holiday traveler packed highways and wonder why. We’ve been out west on vacations a few times and shared campgrounds and parks with the Sturgis crew and have to say that for the most part these are decent people….guys, women, doctors, lawyers, cops, lot of professional people taking a break from what they do every day. We’ve sat in on some partying with them and they don’t get roaring drunk…just have a good time but keep themselves ready for the next days adventures. Safe, smart bikers. I admire them. But these other idiots I see passing between cars on different lanes or on the right side shoulder or hanging five feet off a rear bumper and three to the lane are the ones I lose respect for. Just like that careless old fart that smacked me, there are some careless bikers out there. Drive smart guys and remember….there’s no such thing as enough experience when on two wheels.

[/quote]I too was riding since a wee lad. 1974 trail 70, 1981 Suzuki TS100, several Honda & Yamaha 3 wheelers and 4 wheelers…… Rode big bikes cross country, doesn’t matter. Stay safe.
