Bottom Hardness/Transition Areas

Hey everyone! Im going on a trip right after christmas to a few lakes I only fished once before in the boat but we did well on walleyes and bluegills so I am going back up to try some supposedly good ice fishing. At the time I didnt make note of what could have been good ice fishing spots so I am stuck looking at lake maps.

So now I am looking at bottom hardness and trying to identify where some walleyes or bluegills/crappies may roam. I have some rock humps I would like to target but otherwise I am trying to figure out what type of transition areas (ex: Sand to Clay, Muck to Clay, etc.) I should be looking for to be productive. And is there any way bottom hardness could relate to weed lines as well?

Thanks for any help! Normally I dont go on early ice trips so I have to learn what structure and depth to look at!

Typically I’m more looking for baitfish on the sonar. They usually relate to some kind transition, but once I find those clouds there are usually predators nearby. Long story short, lots of holes
