Border opening?

I see they extended the Canadian/US border until November 21st now. But I had a question if you just drive through Canada to the US is that ok? My annual Northwest Angle (lake of the woods) trip early January looks to be in jeopardy.

No, not allowed. Our NW Angle trip is also in jeopardy. At this point I’m just hoping for June!

No, Only essential travel. Your best option is to call the Canadian border in which you will be crossing and they will tell you so you don’t have to rely on the internet responses for your answer. Sorry.

You may have to take a long snowmobile/bombadier ride!

We’re going up there in January as well. We are just going via bombardier. Grab a case a beer with 3 buddies and sit back and enjoy the ride.

I saw on an episode of Minnesota Bound this summer that there is a “transport boat taxi” that runs 3 times/day from the main land to the NW Angle and back. It takes him about 2 hours to make the run depending on how rough the lake is. He hauls supplies with him too.
