    Halls Island.

Still no bridge getting out there.

Sediment washed out the shoreline south of new island which made the crayfish disappear, and that whole harbor is now really silted in. I’d use caution when motoring out to main channel. My boat would get stuck.

But the new side channel with it’s gravel and structured current breaks is absolutely stacked with minnows. Should be a great spawning ground for many different species in years to come. Not much for backwater areas in this stretch so take what we can get.

I emailed the project manager to see if there will be any dredging, would be a pretty big deal to not have that launch useable in the summer months. Camden is a no go for most watercrafts come summer levels, and east River Rd launch is way to far upriver with shallow stretches in between.

But maybe that’s just part of their plan…..
