Bobber thief

I was out fishing for crappies over the weekend and when I got home I unloaded my gear and leaned my rods up against my work bench. They next morning I went out to grab something from the garage and I looked in the direction of my rods and noticed something wasn’t quite right. As I walked closer to investigate it was clear that the line on all 6 rods was cut and the bobbers were missing. For a second I couldn’t figure out what happened. I looked on my bench and didn’t see anything and then I looked on the floor under the rods and didn’t see anything. It wasn’t until I moved some boxes next to the bench that I discovered a couple of the bobbers shredded up into a pile. Apparently this style of bobber is in high demand by mice for nest building.

I forgot to mention that the crappies were biting. Brought my brother and nephew out and we took home 24 crappies in which 11 were over 1 pound. The biggest was 1.27 pounds.

That’s a nice haul of crappies. You should at least put your state in your profile so we can fantasize where they came from.

I am in Minnesota and I caught those in a lake north of St. Cloud. I made fish tacos and they were delicious. I gave some to eelpoutguy and he said the same.
