Does your connection hook go above or below the rubber rest? Thinking about moving mine below because metal loop tries to get stuck on the rubber when I load the boat.

    Mines below…
I see your point.. your bow hook will cut the bow stop….

If you move the rubber bracket to the 2 rear holes will it be above the hook? My hook is below. I also have a lot of vertical adjustment in my bow stop. Can I see a picture of the rest of the winch spool and post?

Mine’s below too. I have a roller type stopper too, not a v shaped rubber stopper.

The bow eye should be below the bow stop. So incase you have to stop hard and the rear straps are loose or fail the bow stop has a chance to catch it from sliding up and forward. This will work better the closer the eye is to the stop. And it looks nicer.

Both of my Lund boats are on shorelander trailers and both bow eyes are below the rubber block or roller on the winch post. Pro V has a roller and my 16’ winter boat has the rubber v block.

ALWAYS BELOW! There is a reason for that.

Ok that makes me feel better about moving it down then. I appreciate the replies and guidance.
