What does everyone prefer or believe is the best when it comes to removing all those hard water spots and really making it shine. Which soap is the best? I sort of just said screw it for 3 years Id rather be fishing then detailing it but figured I should do it once every 3 seasons from now on. Thanks

Vinegar 50/50 with water if really bad acid but don’t get it on plastic or galvanized parts on trailer, I just use a speed wax, due to using vinegar a couple times a year. Also use shower cleaner in lower units (the works )

If it’s real bad, the Works toilet bowl cleaner does an amazing job. Doesn’t hurt paint, gelcoat, plastic or decals. Just don’t let it sit too long on bare metal.

For lighter cleaning vinegar works. Don’t dilute it for the boat is really spotted up.

Wax the boat after using toilet bowl cleaner or vinegar.

For general up keep, Hot Sauce keeps a clean boat cleaner.

I user Wonderfoam and Restore. For me they are like magic. Incredibly easy to use and the results are fantastic. Wonderfoam removes the hard water spots, and Restore is a spray on wax.

This is where I get them. https://larsensales.com/index.html

For the really minimal effort I put in I think it comes out looking great using Boat Bling products Hot Sauce and Quickie Sauce.

I like to add about a cup of white vinegar to each gallon of warm water mixed with McGuiar’s Boat Wash soap. That works well to get the minor spotting off and for general washes.

For the really tough stuff, like B-Man said, the Works will get it out. It’s really amazing how well it does. The calcium crust fizzes off like you’re putting hydrogen peroxide on a cut. Then you just spray it away with water.

Bow to Stern is a great protectant. It keeps a nice shine on the boat and helps to prevent build-up. I have been using it for many years. I wouldn’t be surprised if these boat protectants and spray-on waxes are all nearly the same.
