Hey everyone, been looking around the internet for weeks and I can find little information on boat seat pedestals. I am desperate for information. My brother is nearly 7 feet tall and overweight, finding chairs for him to use is brutal at the best of times, I have very little boating knowledge as well, which makes this even harder.
Currently my brother weighs in the upper 300s, and I need a minimum 400lb boat seat pedestal. I Currently have a millennium b-100 seat for him to use, rated at 400lbs, but I have no idea what a pedestal pole is actually rated for, Currently using a kingpin style on this particular boat, but anything is fine as long as it supports 400lbs.
The boat will never go fast, it is impossible for him to even reach speeds of 5mph, does anyone have any information on pedestal weight rating? Let’s assume my mounting of it is good enough for 400 lbs as well. Thank you for any information you can share.
