It looks like you guys all side for open deck at the expense to the elements. Is this because you need this style for Walleye or because you also do a lot of bass fishing?

Majority is Walleye fishing but also Panfish Bass Northerns once in a while Muskies. At times 3 or 4 people in the boat having extra room is nice that way I can sit up front and don`t have to deal with 2-3 people in the back fighting for fishing space chuckle chuckle. There is a true reason for everything.

I fish walleyes 95 percent of the time. Opting for a tiller boat has more to do with preferred boat control and fishing space per dollar than it does species though. At least for me.

1997 brochure boat for Yar-craft. 1678 Backtroller, re-powered 2 years ago with a Yamaha 60 hp 4s/VTS, new Shortland’r trailer, Hbird 998 and iPilot/Link 80 thrust. Great in the little rivers I fish and also cuts through the waves on Rainy and Waubay. Very versatile 2 man boat ~

Was my project boat a couple years ago, and I would say is about a 9.5 on a scale of 10 now. I’m thinking I will keep for another year until 2 of my kids are out of college. Then maybe time to shop if I can part with it !
