That boat doesn’t look to be in bad shape. It certainly doesn’t look dump worthy if all of needs is a mast and rigging. Certainly someone can make a mast.

Hey EPG could use a sailboat that way he could get hammered at the bar and let her float him back to the cabin.

little fiberglass work and some paint with a couple of extras is all it needs.

This needs to be gone at the end of next week. Where can she take it if no one wants it?

Our county landfill will take them if fluids and batteries are removed and it can be verified by them. The one at the top of this list says it accepts boat hulls if nobody wants it.

I heard it’s bad luck to change a boat’s name but does that apply if the name is misspelled?

I’ve seen people “recycling” fiberglass boats at the Hubbard County dump which is just south of Park Rapids. You can bring just about anything there for “free” (aka county funded). It’s just too bad it’s 3.5 hours away!

Disregard, apparently the mast is a deal breaker on this one. “On a well made boat maybe not, but for a venture 22 a new mast would cost more than the boat is worth”. And now I know a little bit more about sailboats.

Her kid, or her neices and nephews. Or better yet give it to your apprentices and let them learn real life ratchet strapping

That was so funny watching 4 very bright 20-21 year old electrical engineers trying to figure out how to use a ratchet strap, then trying to look it up on YouTube, and was still confused. I guess some skills you just have to learn in the field.

A good friend and mentor of mine is always on the lookout for a project sailboat, but he schooled me on this one. Honestly, digging a hole and burying it up to the water line would make a hella cool playhouse for kids. Hope someone finds a use for it!

I gotta ask. Why is a new mast so expensive? How much are we talking for a new mast?

Was wondering that too ? Are they a special hardwood or whats the high price about em – I know nothing about them at all !
