Need some help. My old boat cover was a snap on. Got a new boat and the cover has straps that go down around the trailer. Then back up and buckle. My question is what do I do with the tail of the strap that remains. Is there a special knot I can use so they don’t just flap in the wind? I’ve had multiple people tell me multiple things. Just trying to figure out what would be best.
    Thanks for the help.

I cut any excess off and then have a small flap sewn in stopping the strap from pulling all the way out, works great….any excess after the straps are tightened are simply tie into a simple knot back on the strap..

My dealer burnt off the excess, but not too much that the strap would come off of the buckle when the cover was not installed.

Are they the plastic clip type buckle? Mine are about 10 inches too long so I just slip the end in the top half of the buckle. Just makes a small loop and doesn’t blow around going down the road.

Nylon? I also cut to length and singe the ends with a butane lighter.
