Set your DC at a limit.. for example, anything over $1K a day.

What would that solve? If it’s declined they are just gonna try to buy something cheaper

I was told by my credit union that these low life’s usually try to buy something not too expensive and if they get away with it and the transaction goes through then they try to buy something more expensive.

If your bank or credit union won’t stand behind you for fraud then I would be switching banks or credit unions

That’s what I’m asking myself here? Use a reputable bank and you won’t have these issues. We’ve had our debit cards used fraudulently 4-5 in the past 10 years. No skin off my back, just a minor inconvenience. Bank reversed the charges instantly over the phone, cancelled the cards and had new ones overnighted every time. Hassle to update the auto-payments with new card info but that’s the price we pay for the convenience of using debit card for literally everything. Worth it to me, I like spending my own money.

That’s happened to me a few times too. Random charges in a state halfway across the country. VISA calls me within 60 minutes to confirm if I made this purchase. I deny it, the amount is returned, and the new card is mailed.

The worst part is in fact updating bills on auto pay.

When I try to exceed my limit, I get a text saying so. To drain $150,000 would take someone over 150 days… that’s all I am saying. coffee (some were saying easy to drain a DC)
