Anyone with experience with these tip up bite transmitters? Sounds like a great idea for night fishing. Reviews are all over the place and it sounds like if you have decent cell coverage and a smart phone they work well. Just wanted to double check before dropping $35

Mine were less than satisfactory last season. Worked great in the house and would FAIL on the ice when it was cold at night. I called the company and left a voice mail and NEVER heard back from them. I wanted them to work, but ended up returning them. Not hearing back from the company is what burned me. If you fish in the day, they may work out great. Try them out, but save your receipt.

I have the old Strike Sensor ones, they work great. I have to believe Blu Tips work just as well.
