Have a 1/2 dozen of them at the feeder. They are huge, can’t hardly keep feed in the feeders they eat so much. Also have a couple of Cardinals hanging around. The Red color really contrasts with the fresh snow this morning. Think I’ll hang another feeder for smaller birds today also going to try peanuts or peanut butter. No sign of squirrels. Last year had squirrels everywhere.

Blue jays and Cardinals… had hoped you had a baseball free agency update ;)

But yeah, we’ve got the Cardinals on the deck too and that red really shines against the snow! Nice to at least have some birds over the winter… This gray, bleak Nov/Dec is getting to me. Only 119 days until I get the boat out of storage shock

Take it to the bird watching forum, lol. During deer hunting I saw more bluejays from my deerstand than I care to recall…and that one red squirrel who sounded like a trophy buck coming in.

I agree. Seeing Cardinals in winter was cool. A little splash of color.

My grandpa used to shoot every blue jay that came to the feeder. Don’t recall why though.
