Blind Grass Material Suggestions

I built a boat blind last year and I tossed some very basic blind material on to trial and error my custom blind. Now that I have the blind dialed in better, it’s time to upgrade to a mat grass type cover for it. This will most likely happen at the end of the season if I can get the grass on sale.

There are a few different brands out there like Avery Realgrass, Quackgrass, Fast-grass, Northern Flight Marsh Grass…

What is everyone using and why? I hunt mostly south central MN lakes and backwaters, almost always in cattails. What is holding up the best and for how long? Where did you purchase the material.

    Thanks

I have only used Fast-Grass mats but they have held up for many seasons. One thing I do is put them on upside down so the grass lays nicer. By upside down I mean the seam is on top.

Love northern flight products but their marsh grass is junk! I have used the matts from farm and fleet and they have held up for 3 years on marsh blind. Northern flight matts on my boat for 1st year And already breaking apart.

Were are you located Merican Eagle. I have a box of Cabelas Northern Flight which is almost the same product that I do not need and would sell you cheap.

Do you find when you lay them that way that the black-hole effect is dramatized by the sharp ending of the grass? I ask because my temporary blind is setup similar without grass and it looks kinda goofy.
