Was there this afternoon. Kinda disappointed, not alot of new stuff this year other than the Otter x-over and panoptix.
I was looking for crappie plastics and the pickins were slim.
However, it was fun and exciting to see hardwater items and know the season is near!

Will be checking it out tomorrow morning Saturday with the 6 year old grandson. Yea, I know it’s just a shadow of the big St Paul show.

But it’s just 10 minutes from where I live and the St Paul show is likely a whole day commitment (for some a whole weekend) and with the little dude, 2-3 hours will be all he’s good for.

Figure there’ll be enough there for what I’m looking for…small accessories and such, like jigs ‘n’ chit.

There’s the trout pond and hot dogs for the grandson, it’s really all about him having fun with grandpa at “The ice fishing show”… smile

I was there as well good turn out!! I stop by the fishdaddys outdoors booth Pick up another 6 of his dirty bomb 1/8 oz jigging spoons. I think these are great. Flashing led light. Shuts off when out of the water. It’s a must have, For perch and walleyes.

Yea, I know I’m quoting myself but thought I’d beat my chest on the follow through.

Got a nice assortment of tungsten jigs…and other chit.

But the grandson got his hot dog and trout fishing…not catching though, just like his grandpa taught him. sad

No matter, was a fun day together. We both were happy! grin

You know it drifter! Great thing about young kids is that they have no expectations like we do. Give them a hot dog and for that moment it’s the best day ever.

So gratifying to spend time with kids as they can believe even the simplest of life’s smallest joys can be such a celebration.

Been so long ago for me but I can still remember. Seeing it with kids and grandkids takes me back to the joys of my youth…and that’s how you pay it forward. No big deal…but I remember, and so will they.

I agree nothing much new, but pretty much everyone was doing 20% off which is nice for stuff that normally doesn’t go on sale often.

I picked up a StikerICE Hardwater bibs and jacket and the wife picked up the Clam IceArmor Rise float jackes and bibs as well. Nice to get this out of the way so when the St Paul show comes around I can be looking other fun new stuff.
