    Thinking about checking these lakes out.Anybody have any comments on them.Heard Mel George Resort was good place. Thank you

    I stay at Melgeorges a couple times per winter to snowmobile but never fish. Beautiful area and Mel’s is a very nice place.

    Both are very good lakes. Lots of pan fish, big Smallies, Walleyes. I never stayed at the resort but I’ve heard good things about it. Watch out for dead heads and rocks.

    One thing I remember clearly is the road in…a narrow dirt road with brush and tree close to one side, and open water very close on the other. It always seemed like it took forever to get back to Hwy 53. All part of the charm and ambiance of northern St. Louis county.
