Black Friday Deals

Its about that time of year for everyone to begin spilling the beans on what deals they look forward to most on Black Friday/ Cyber Monday, whether it be for themselves or the outdoors family and friends they’ll be buying gifts for.

For me, I look forward to what Cabelas and Bass Pro have to offer the most. Half off Pflueger President originals and Limited Edition reels, 30% off what appears to be most Rapalas, and some decent deals on trail cams and ground blinds. Between the two they’ve already got 80 pages of ads out shock Last year Scheels had an offer of nearly 50% off a strikemaster auger and Frabill ice shack. Very curious to see what they’ll have this year!

*Queue all the elders around here to complain about how people could want to stand in lines for hours and fight with people over sale items, despite it never actually occurring* whistling

I was looking through some black Friday leaked ads last night. One of the items I was looking at I found for $20 cheaper two weeks ago at the same store. So just because it is a Black Friday sale doesn’t make it the best price. But if I do find something with enough savings I will go out.

You have a point there Tuma. It pays (no pun intended) to have a rough idea of what products cost so you’ll know how any Black Friday or Cyber Monday deal affects the price to know if it really is a good deal. For example, a lightbulb could have a $5 price tag year-round, but on Black Friday they might have a huge red sticker that says “4.99!!!!!”

Regarding the OP, I’m hoping that Cabela’s soon has a beginning of the season ice electronics promotion so I can use some gift cards.

Last year Fleet Farm had 25% off all Rapala’s on Black Friday, so I bought a few…..dozen.

St. Croix is having a sale on a number of retired rods on Cyber Monday, for anyone interested. I guess I’m an elder now, as there is no item that would get me in a mall on Black Friday… chased

I was really hoping to find some kind of deal on a Milwaukee Fuel 1/2″ drill, but have come across nothing so far. Anyone else see something?

I’m also assuming that the K-Drill (8″) will probably never be included as there always seems to be a limited supply. Cabelas and Bass Pro Shop had relatively few deals that would entice me to hit their stores with the crowds.

I remember last year one of the better deals was 25% off at Dick’s I believe Cyber Monday. There were some great deals for a FL-12 or FL-18 and augers at prices hard to find. I remember the Flasher deal in particular as I was eyeing it closely for a backup unit but never bit and then later regretted it.

I never seem to see unique deals on any top brand power tools. Every brand seems to offer the same drill + impact driver combo deal, 4 tool combo + light, etc.

Would love to be proven wrong though, could use a few more tools!

I don’t have the will power to wait. I buy impulsively throughout the year so I usually have no wants or needs by Christmas.

Watch Home Depot closely for Black Friday/Cyber Monday Milwaukee deals. They typically have a few items on sale.

Amazon has a fuel package for $227 right now, I saw it around $200 a week or so ago? Some amazon prices are always fluctuating.. https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-2704-22-Hammer-Drill-Driver/dp/B017RAN84A/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1509632911&sr=8-1&keywords=milwaukee+2704-22&dpID=51TIOTnkKxL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&linkCode=sl1&tag=icefisdea-20&linkId=f2122e76e790b8732e78f0e2f61a7d95

All the more reason to pay attention to CamelCamelCamel.

Looks like that particular drill hit $166 a couple times. If I’m in no hurry for it I’d set an alert for it to hit $185 or less and snag it then.

I’ve seen that site before but I always thought it only alerted you about 3rd party prices, not the main dealer price (milwaukee in this case). Is that what you use it for?

I’m not quite sure what you’re seeing but this particular item only has 3rd party sellers. Main dealer is always only Amazon and they don’t stock this particular item on this page. And Milwaukee is not one of the sellers.

3Camels crawls certain Amazon pages looking for 3 things, the Amazon price, the best 3rd party new price, and the best 3rd party used price. The one drawback is it does not see the shipping prices. So this particular item could be sold by a dealer at $100 with $200 in shipping and the graph will only show the item is listed as $100.

You can set it up to alert you for the best Amazon, 3rd party-New, or 3rd party-Used prices. Depending on the item and how it is being sold is how I would make that decision.

Same here. I have a friend who always rubs it in when he buys something I already have, but for half the cost….I just say “yeah, but I’ve had one the last year!” Lol

Just this weekend I had a buddy look at me and say “well I can’t afford to buy the best one so I bought this off brand one.” But I waited for the sale and paid less for the one I picked up. One can save a lot of money if he can just wait. If I don’t need it right now I find it online and save the tab. Than refresh it every now and then until I see it goes on sale. It works great for Menards sales and fixing up the house.

My wife and I went out to Target last night and got ALL our shopping done for our two kids. It was incredible, we had a few things we wanted to get but just found so many other things that were good deals.

Feels pretty good to get that shopping done in a 1.5 hour time frame before the calendar turns to december!

I wanted to hit up fleet farm for the deal they had on the DeWalt 20V brushless drill + impact driver combo($129).

If you are familiar with the fleet farm in Oakdale, they had a line from their front door all the way into the Marcus movie theater parking lot! That was a longer line than Target had!

I turned around and went back to bed.

my grandpa had a saying, “you can go broke saving money”. I see it happen all the time. Guys spends X on a product and feels good cause it was 40% off. I am no exception to that rule
