Biting Saturday not so much Sunday

Saturday the fish were biting light, but we reeled in a bunch of panfish. Yesterday I hit three lakes. Fish were down there, but wouldn’t bite on anything. Anyone else notice a big difference day to day this weekend?

Where I have been fishing, I am seeing lots of marks on the flasher but getting them to bite has been tough. I damn near threw the whole tackle box at them but they have been very finnicky. How much pressure the lake you are fishing experiences plays a big factor in how the fish respond. If there were a lot of guys out on Saturday, that could have played a role in how the bite was Sunday.

Sunday was fickle for me….kinda what you guys were saying. When I put the camera down a lot of small perch. This is a lake that should have crappies and decent gills mixed in but not yesterday.

I think crappies moved out to the basins most likely. High skies can sometimes hurt the day bite, too.

Saturday was decent from like noon to 4 so my guess is it was weather related.

Sunday I had lots of fish moving through and lots of “lookers” but no biters.

I was out with a group on Winnie and Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning was noticeably better than late Saturday into Sunday. Not sure why it did not seem like the weather did anything drastic.

Make note of the barometric pressure and trend (rising/falling) and wind direction when the fish are biting, and when they are tight lipped.
