    Hello everyone!
Myself and a few fellas have a trip planned for the 10th. So I was just curious as to how the bite is up there? We have Lake of the Woods Outdoorsman taking care of us, so I’m sure he has some tips. Does anyone have some lure suggestions? I figured this is the place to go for the best advice and most updated info.
    Thanks for any info!

I fished for walleyes on Monday just off of Little Oak Island and the bite was slow but steady. No problems getting a limit and a few slot fish were caught but we worked for them. Gold Slender spoons and jigging raps tipped with heads were best for my group. The next day we traveled into the Ontario side for Crappies. In 34 fow we were pulling them off the bottom with jigs and white plastics performing well. The bite was steady and the bite was light. No one had a problem limiting with fish ranging between 12″ and 15″. The ice by the angle is not consistent. Check with resorts or guides before driving on ice. Good luck.

Glow Red Lindy Rattln flyer in 1/8 – 1/4 oz, tipped with a minnow head has always been my top producer.

I always suggest hitting the local bait shops for hot lures. There are two close to the lake. Always works for me.

Glow red flyer spoons, salmo zippers in glow red, gold chubby darters, pink charmers, gold slender spoons, and for a dead stick a small knock out on a 5″ dropper line to a plan red hook.

We just got back yesterday, had a great trip. Caught fish every session. Better yet I had the biggest, a 29″er that I released. We fish portables off Pine Island.

Those look like some nice fish! I hope we can produce some of the same!
